In 2016  a young lady experienced difficulty in finding a particular color purse to match her shoe. After back and forth between stores,  she made the brave decision to make the purse herself! 

She got a number of positive feedback at the event about her purse. A few weeks later after many requests to "make one like that for me" she was encouraged to start making purses as a business. 

Today that business is known as Ayondae's Collections. 

 I was that young lady. Having graduated with honors in Clothing and Textiles, from the Maldon High School in St. James. 

I find great peace and calm in sewing. It allows me to express my creativity in the most beautiful ways, my  passion for sewing grows with every item I produce. Over the years, I've gained extensive training, in Business Development, Designing and Entrepreneurship with The Jamaica Business Development Corporation.  I've gained  additional knowledge on my craft at the Garmex Academy in Kingston, Jamaica. Seminars and endless informative sessions on The Creative Industry and what it offers. 

 The name Ayondae is a tweaked version of my middle name, that was used to create my first email address.  If someone had told me back then, that it would become my business name I may have laughed it off. So here I am , so many  years later, creating amazing functional masterpiece with love, talent and passion.
